Been wanting to check this place out every time I'm in Eden center but never have until yesterday! I think there used to be two lines, but now it's just one. Go in through the door on the right side and wait for someone to help you! You kind of need to just look at the offerings and point - unless you know what they have. I tried one of their che ba mau desserts (layered red bean/white bean/mung bean/jelly/coconut milk) and asked for crushed ice in it. It was such a refreshing dessert to share with my boyfriend! Not too sweet, and honestly pretty filling. $6 for it is an amazing deal. Also tried one of the savory sticky rices (I think the one with beans, pepper, and chicken) and one of the dessert sticky rices (durian) and loved both. The durian one could have had a bit more durian flavor, but still yummy! Both were like $3.75 and they load them up. And the star of the show was the tofu, obviously. Got half a pound of the mushroom and half a pound of the lemongrass! Both were so flavorful - especially reheated in an air fryer. A whole pound of tofu came out to be $5! Such a steal. This place will be a must visit every time I'm in Eden center! Can't wait to try everything they offer. (Also you have to spend $10+ to use a credit card.)

What is not to like about this place? They have all sorts of offerings. My favorite include the fresh tofu, tofu pudding, and fried sesame balls. If your purchase is over $30, you get a free quart of unsweetened or sweet soy milk or Pandan flavored soy milk. Brace yourself for a long line!

This place is REALLY busy and for good reason. You go up to the counter after queueing and one person handles your whole order -- similar to Porto's in SoCal. You kind of just look at whatever you think looks good and grab it Their tofu pudding is pretty well-known amongst Taiwanese people because it's a slightly more rare delicacy, and it's super soft and fresh. I love the salted coconut sago that comes with the pandan tofu pudding, but you can't go wrong with the classic plain tofu pudding and ginger syrup, either. Their fried tofu is also very good either fresh or after reheating on an oven/air fryer or even on the pan. Their soymilk is solid Asian soymilk, but if you're really keen on the soy fragrance (which I know is hit or miss depending on personal preference), you won't get as much of it as compared to something like Nature's Soy. You do get a free soymilk if you buy $30+, so grab your friends and make a bulk order!

I actually love the chaos of Thanh Son Tofu - it's my favorite place in Eden Center LOL. On a weekday or on a weekend afternoon, the line is reasonable and not out the door. It was fun to go my first time and given pointers to a friend so I'll try to distill it here. So, you wait in line. If some old Vietnamese grandpas or grandmas cut you - you are faced with the choice of letting it go or not. I choose the former because I won't let it affect my peace. Alright, so you get to the front of the line and someone will make eye contact with you. Remember this person. This person will help you get whatever food or drink item you want, you just have to keep looking for them and making eye contact. Sometimes I try things without really knowing exactly what it is. I really love their baos and I love their lemongrass and mushroom tofus. Their Vietnamese coffee boba is also strong and delish. Other than that, I usually leave it up to the law of surprise. Again, after every order, make eye contact with your person until you're done and then they will flash you with a number placard. Memorize this number. You're free to mill around until the cash register person calls your number. You get a free soymilk (regular or pandan) for every $30 you spend. Sometimes they prompt you for this and sometimes they won't so just remember to ask :) Embrace the experience. I love it here. The food is delicious and well-priced. It's a go-to and we will be back often!

Everything here is so fresh!! The cashiers, possibly owner were very nice. I always bring back tons of stuff when I am able to drive the 5 hours to visit here. I would recommend the chua lua, fresh tofu, fish cake. Spend a certain amount and you get free soy milk. Their soy milk is delicious and not too sweet.

Took a bus to the Eden Center on a DC visit recently and stopped in at Thanh Son Tofu. The line was long but they have a huge team and they move fast. Inside is kind of organized chaos! Someone called to me and I ordered half a pound of mushroom onion tofu and a small order of tofu pudding. They gave me a number and I waited by the cashiers at the front to call my number to ring me up. Even with the line, I was in and out in less than 8 minutes. The tofu pudding was perfect. I don't get to try it often and it's always a treat. Their mushroom onion tofu was a standout. And I think it was only $2.50! Savory, crispy, and slightly greasy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'd love to go back and try one of their many flavors of sticky rice next time.

This is probably the most popular outpost at Eden Center, which has the most exciting collection of Vietnamese stores and restaurants that I've ever seen. There is no seating, but you can enjoy the (primarily sweet) snacks under one of the covered pavilions outside. On our visit, we were serenaded during the meal by speeches and festive songs commemorating Vietnam Freedom Fighters Day, and many of our fellow diners donned full military outfits that colored our outing with not just a cultural, but also an eerie historical, immersion. We tried the xoi gac, a Lunar new year sticky rice dish with jackfruit and a faint flavor of coconut milk, as well as the excellent mushroom-seasoned fried tofu and a rich Vietnamese iced coffee with plenty of condensed milk. While many visitors may use their tofu as an ingredient for other dishes, it has enough flavor to enjoy as a stand-alone snack as well.

Long lines but move relatively fast! Been getting the tofu here since I was a kid from my mom and recently made it back to satisfy those old cravings. I got the lemon grass tofu which was like I remembered 4/5! Slightly spicy, such a nice texture between the fried skin and soft bouncy tofu inside! Herby Soy milk - 3/5 not sweet but smooth and yummy. Good for mixing Banh cuon - 3/5 nice thin but bouncy skin but wish there was more filling. Not enough flavor for me but if you add stuff I can see it being good

Chuc Mung Nam Moi! The Lunar New Year festivities continued today. Oh Eden Center, how I miss thee! So much has changed, yet the center continues to flourish. Thanh Son is a familiar place and has withstood the test of time. Favorite che desserts galore and tasty snacks abound! Plus cha gio, bun bao, crispy tofu, vietnamese coffee, fresh soymilk, and sticky rice are all fantastic. There is quite a wait, and luckily trays are refilled :-) so be patient!
